Happy Birthday America!
Venerable Fulton Sheen said, "The gravest danger to American democracy... is from the inside — the hearts of citizens in whom the light of faith has gone out.”
At Padre Pio Academy, we take this challenge seriously. Our goal is to form students to be articulate, knowledgeable, virtuous citizens, with a strong moral compass, and with love for God and neighbor. Achieving a firm grasp of history, including the knowledge of the brave men and women who built our fine country and worked to create a free and virtuous civilization, is of utmost importance to helping students to understand who they are, where they came from, and what our culture should be.
In April, our 3rd and 4th grade students delivered a wonderful performance presenting a brief 'History of the United States of America’. A particularly entertaining portion was the song that King George ‘sang’ after receiving the Declaration of Independence. To celebrate America’s 250th birthday, we have a recording of this delightful performance for you:

Through the development of virtue and true historical knowledge, we aim to produce young adults capable of understanding, exercising and protecting their American rights and responsibilities. Happy 250th birthday, America!
