The Season of Advent is upon us and this year Padre Pio Academy choir offers choral music in locations around Cleveland. All programs are free of charge and open to the public.
On Tuesday, December 8th, our high school choir offers music for Mass on The Feast of the Immaculate Conception at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church, at 6 PM, in the Gordon Square Arts District. Following Mass the choir will sing traditional Marian selections from our soon-to-be-released CD recording -- Cantilatio -- and conclude the evening with Night Prayer, known as Compline in The Liturgy of the Hours.

Sunday, December 13th, our full choir (comprised of 5th grade through high school students) brings a program of O Antiphons, an Advent Procession of hymns, readings, and prayers to Mary Queen of Peace Parish, in the Old Brooklyn neighborhood. Musicians from The Oberlin Conservatory of Music will provide string accompaniment on antique instruments. The evening begins at 6PM. All are welcome to participate through listening and quiet contemplation.
Finally, we will sing Holy Mass at The Cathedral of St. John The Evangelist, Sunday, December 20th, at 5:30 PM.
Please consider joining us for one or all of our musical offerings to enrich your season. From all of our choristers here at Padre Pio Academy, we wish you a most blessed Advent.
